Your recent comments are noted. At KHSU several people ran out of the building, and headed for the hills leaving the station with dead air for quite some time. When On Air broadcasting resumed, announcers made jokes about begging neighbors for food, and made light of any information that would assist listeners with information concerning aftershocks. On the following Saturday, I found out from the Public Information Officer at a meeting at Humboldt State University that the radio station was not integreted into the University Emergency Procedures, and that whenever there had been power outages, the radio station would be without essential power to computers, telephones, etc. Hope this helps.
